XM1014 | Blue Steel is an Industrial Grade skin from The Lake Collection finished through a cold bluing process, producing the characteristic dark blue-grey metallic tones that bluing imparts to steel. Unlike painted finishes, the blued surface interacts differently with wear as float increases, since the treatment is part of the metal itself. The float range spans 0 to 1, covering every condition tier from Factory New through Battle-Scarred. Souvenir versions exist via the DreamHack 2013 and EMS One 2014 packages. The finish quote attributes to Booth, Arms Dealer: This is the malbec of weapon design.
